A public spiritual intervention took an unexpected turn on a busy street in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, when a pastor attempting to conduct a deliverance session on a mentally unstable woman found himself physically restrained by the subject of his prayers.
In a viral video clip circulating widely across social media platforms, the unidentified cleric is seen struggling to free himself after the woman grabbed hold of his clothing amidst a growing crowd of onlookers.
What Transpired During the Street Incident
According to eyewitness accounts accompanying the online footage, the pastor had approached the woman on the roadside with the intention of conducting prayers and casting out perceived affliction.
However, during the exercise, the situation rapidly degenerated when the woman firmly gripped the minister, refusing to let go despite his repeated struggles and desperate calls to bystanders for physical assistance.
“The pastor came with the intent to deliver her, but within minutes, he was the one pleading with the crowd to intervene and rescue him from her grip,” reported an eyewitness who recorded part of the encounter.
