Aikou Fans Launch GoFundMe After BBNaija Star Misses Season 11 Crown (See How To Donate)

Fans of Big Brother Naija Season 11 finalist Aikou have launched a GoFundMe campaign for the reality star following his failure to win the grand prize of the reality show.

Aikou, who emerged as the first runner-up in the just-concluded “Show Ya Sef” season, lost the crown to Temi Nkem after receiving 23.68 per cent of the final votes.

Following the finale, Aikou’s fans, popularly known as Aikons, moved to raise money for the former housemate through a GoFundMe campaign.

His handler announced the fundraiser in a post shared on X, urging supporters to contribute towards the initiative.

“The official GoFundMe for Aikou is now LIVE 💚

“Please use the link below for your donations and support. 🫶🏽

“Every contribution means so much. Thank you for always showing up for Aikou. 💚,” the handler wrote.

A check by Freshnews.ng showed that the fundraiser had received €287 out of its €70,000 target within a few hours of going live.

At the time of the check, only six people had donated to the campaign.

The development comes barely a day after Aikou finished as the first runner-up in the BBNaija Season 11 finale.

The 25-year-old, whose real name is Amyr Yousufzai, was among the 24 housemates who entered the reality show in July and went on to become one of the final three contestants competing for the ₦160 million grand prize.

Although Aikou did not emerge as the winner, his supporters had remained vocal throughout his time on the show and continued to rally behind him after the finale.

Temi Nkem eventually claimed the Season 11 crown with 25.87 per cent of the final votes, while Sheba finished in third place with 9.80 per cent.

The GoFundMe campaign is now giving Aikons another opportunity to show their support for the reality star as he begins life after the BBNaija house.
