The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has recorded a total of 54 births since the start of its 2026 Annual Convention at the Redemption City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, announced the latest figures during Thursday’s session of the convention, revealing that 19 babies were born on Thursday alone.
According to the breakdown announced by the cleric, the newborns comprised 12 boys and seven girls.
The latest births have pushed the total number of babies delivered at the convention since it began on Monday, August 3, to 54.
Pastor Adeboye disclosed that out of the total births recorded so far, 31 are boys while 23 are girls.
The announcement was greeted with excitement by thousands of worshippers at the convention ground, who applauded the latest development.
Earlier in the week, the RCCG had announced that 29 babies were delivered within the first 48 hours of the convention, made up of 15 boys and 14 girls.
The annual convention, themed “Mountain Movers,” officially commenced on August 3 and will run until Sunday, August 9.
Recognised as one of the world’s largest Christian gatherings, the RCCG Annual Convention attracts millions of worshippers from Nigeria and different parts of the world for worship, prayers, Bible teachings and other spiritual activities.
Over the years, the event has also become known for the number of babies delivered during the programme, with the church providing medical facilities and support for pregnant women attending the convention.
Activities are expected to continue in the coming days as worshippers participate in the remaining sessions of the week-long gathering.
