The Katsina State Police Command has foiled a suspected bandit attack on Sabon Gulbi village in Musawa Local Government Area, killing one of the attackers during a gun battle.
Police said the operation was carried out by a joint tactical team made up of officers of the command and personnel of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps. An AK-47 rifle, ammunition and an operational motorcycle were recovered from the fleeing suspects, while efforts are ongoing to track down other members of the gang.

Troops of the 34 Artillery Brigade operating under Operation UDOKA have arrested suspected members of a criminal syndicate linked to the ambush of soldiers on May 4.
The Nigerian Army said the operation, carried out under Operation EASTERN SANITY II, led to the arrest of key suspects believed to have participated in the attack, which claimed the life of one soldier and left another injured. The military described the arrests as a major breakthrough in ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks operating in the South-East.
