Man Arrested For Slapping Woman Who Rejected His Advances In Abuja (Video)

A man has been arrested by the police in Abuja after he allegedly assaulted a young woman for rejecting his romantic advances.

The arrest followed public outrage on social media after a video of the incident went viral, with many Nigerians demanding that the suspect be brought to justice.

The victim had earlier shared an emotional video online, alleging that the older man slapped her after she declined his request to get to know her.

According to her, the incident occurred simply because she rejected his advances, an action that created condemnation from social media users who called for the suspect’s arrest.

Following the public outcry, police reportedly tracked the suspect to his location.

Reports indicated that the man attempted to evade arrest by hiding from security operatives, but he was eventually apprehended.

Videos circulating online showed the suspect apologising after he was found. Despite his apology, he was taken into police custody for further investigation.

Reacting after the arrest, the victim reiterated the need for men to respect women’s decisions and personal boundaries.

“No means No, and the sooner some men start respecting women’s boundaries, the better our society will become,” she wrote.
