Wike Wife Pray Tinubu

Wike Reveals Prayer He Asked His Wife To Make For Tinubu Over FCT

President Bola Tinubu’s continued backing has been crucial to ongoing development in the Federal Capital Territory, Minister Nyesom Wike said on Tuesday, revealing that he regularly asks his wife to pray that the President never withdraws his support for the FCT Administration.

Freshnews.ng reports that Wike made the disclosure while commissioning the water supply network for Bwari Satellite Town, one of the projects inaugurated as part of activities marking President Tinubu’s third anniversary in office.

Speaking at the event, the FCT minister said effective governance depends on improving the lives of citizens, adding that the administration has been able to deliver projects because of the unwavering support it has received from the President.

“You see when people are happy those in authority will be happy but when people are not happy those in authority will not, after all, what is governance? Governance is to make people happy, change their lives, to make it to be better and that is what Asiwaju Tinubu is doing.

“I have said to people, I was a governor and I was a minister before, you can be a minister and if you don’t have that support it will be difficult for you to go forward.

“You must have that support and that’s why each day I wake up I tell my wife because she prays a lot, I don’t know how to pray very well, the best prayer I can pray is lord, let me come back safely today, but she prays very well; so continue to pray that Mr President will not look away from us and Mr president has given FCT all the support required to change the narratives.

“That’s why we on our own part will not disappoint Mr President, we are happy for the support and will continue to do everything to make sure that the people of FCT are also happy.”

Wike said the level of support from the Presidency has enabled the Federal Capital Territory Administration to implement projects aimed at improving infrastructure and public services across Abuja.

According to him, residents have also acknowledged the administration’s efforts through their voting pattern during the last Area Council elections.

The minister argued that the outcome of the polls reflected public approval of the Tinubu administration and the policies being implemented in the nation’s capital.

“I know that you are happy because during the area council election you expressed that happiness by voting for all the area council chairmen that are in support of Bola Tinubu which has never happened in the history of the FCT,” he added.

The Bwari water supply network is among several infrastructure projects being commissioned by the FCT Administration to commemorate President Tinubu’s third year in office, as the government continues to highlight its development agenda across the capital.
