Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has revealed that she has been inundated with relationship proposals from admirers following reports surrounding the breakdown of her marriage to Bobby Maris.
Freshnews.ng reports that actress disclosed that her Instagram inbox has been flooded with messages from interested men, saying the attention has been overwhelming.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, Ogbodo appealed to admirers to give her some space, stressing that she is not ready to begin another relationship.
She wrote, “Nah wah ooooo!. It’s like all these men I’ve been looking for a way to get to me,’cos what in the heaven is going on in my DM. Guys make unah Chill ooo! I’m not searching yet ! Let me breathe 1st Ogini nu! 100 dms a day is too much for just me nah Haba!.”
According to the actress, she intends to take time for herself before considering any new romantic commitment.
Her latest revelation comes days after she shared a series of emotional posts that fuelled speculation about the collapse of her second marriage.
In one of the posts, Ogbodo questioned the double standards surrounding failed marriages, arguing that society often judges women more harshly than men when relationships end.
She wrote that while men are rarely criticised for walking away from unhappy marriages, women are frequently condemned for making the same decision.
The actress said she was simply exhausted and questioned why admitting that reality should be considered unacceptable.
She also suggested that a woman’s happiness in marriage in Nigeria often depends on having the right support system and connections, wondering why choosing not to remain in an unhappy union is treated as a wrongdoing.
Ogbodo further cautioned against pushing her beyond her limits, saying everyone has a breaking point.
Reflecting on the years she invested in the relationship, the actress noted that she had spent eight years in the marriage and questioned whether critics expected her to remain for two decades—or even until death—before her pain would be recognised.
Although Ogbodo has not officially confirmed the end of her marriage, her recent social media posts and latest comments have continued to fuel public discussion about her relationship status.
