Big Brother Naija Season 11 has recorded another major shake-up as Araga and Abi have been evicted from the ongoing “Show Ya Sef” reality show.
Their exit was announced during Sunday’s live eviction show, further reducing the number of housemates still in the race for the grand prize.
The latest eviction means the competition has now entered another crucial stage, with the remaining housemates getting closer to the final stretch of the 71-day reality show.
Araga, whose real name is Oluwaseyifunmi Sosanya, came into the house as a fashion model and quickly became part of some of the season’s major conversations.
His relationship with fellow housemate Goddessa was one of the storylines that attracted attention during the early weeks of the show. Their growing closeness, romantic moments and occasional tensions became a regular talking point among viewers.
Goddessa, however, had already left the competition after she was evicted alongside Sultex in Week Five.
Abi, on the other hand, had one of the more eventful runs in the house.
The housemate, Abisola Ayoola, emerged as Head of House in Week Four after defeating Chimsom Chuka in the final round of the HoH challenge.
Her reign later became even more dramatic when Biggie introduced a nomination twist that forced her to put members of her own team up for possible eviction.
Abi eventually selected Aikou, Araga and Yusuf for the nomination list.
She was also named Most Influential Player of the Week during that period, adding another major achievement to her time in the competition.
How The Evictions Have Gone
The Season 11 eviction run began in Week Two, after the opening week was used for the Gambit twist.
Martins and Mercedes became the first housemates evicted from the competition on August 9.
The following week, Kamsy became the third housemate to leave after recording the lowest vote percentage among the nominated contestants. She received 2.41 per cent of the votes.
Kamsy’s eviction was followed by a surprise voluntary exit from Neche, who chose to leave the house shortly after the Week Three live show because of personal reasons.
In Week Four, Cassi became the fourth housemate evicted from the show. He had been nominated alongside Araga, Gerard, Goddessa, Nomy, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf.
The Week Five live show brought a double eviction, with Sultex and Goddessa leaving the competition.
Gerard followed in Week Six, becoming the latest evicted housemate before tonight’s live show. After his eviction, he said the game had become increasingly political and intense but maintained that he preferred to remain himself rather than get heavily involved in the politics and manipulation inside the house.
There was also a disciplinary exit during Week Seven when Nomy was disqualified by Biggie for repeated defiance. Unlike the other departures, her exit was a disqualification rather than an eviction.
With Araga and Abi now out, the “Show Ya Sef” house has been reduced further as the remaining contestants battle for the ₦160 million grand prize package.
The latest development is expected to trigger fresh reactions from viewers, particularly among fans who had backed Araga and Abi through their respective journeys.
With the competition getting tighter, the remaining housemates will now have even less room for mistakes as the race towards the finale continues.
