A woman and her guests were reportedly left stranded in the rain after her siblings allegedly prevented them from entering the reception venue following their mother’s funeral service.
According to reports, the disagreement stemmed from the cost of hiring the event hall.
The woman’s siblings had reportedly asked her to contribute ₦2.5 million towards paying for the venue.
However, she explained that she could not afford the amount, stating that she is a civil servant and a single woman. She eventually contributed a lower amount instead.
The decision allegedly angered her siblings, who reportedly denied her and her guests access to the reception hall on the day of the funeral.
Unable to enter the venue, the woman and those who accompanied her were forced to remain outside despite the rain.
Videos and photos circulating online showed her serving food to her guests from the boot of a car while they stayed outdoors.
