Amid Seyi Tinubu Controversy, Fayose Declares Loyalty As Peter Obi Visits (Video)

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to social commentator Isaac Fayose following the death of his wife.

The visit comes just days after Fayose came under criticism on social media over his recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, a development that set the social buzzing.

During the visit, Obi expressed his belief in listening to constructive criticism, saying leadership requires humility and a willingness to learn.

“Anytime I’m doing something wrong, I want people to tell me so I can take correction. A leader must always listen and learn,” Obi said during his interaction with Fayose.

Responding, Fayose reaffirmed his support for the former Anambra State governor, insisting that his loyalty to Obi had not changed despite the backlash that followed his meeting with Seyi Tinubu.

“To those criticizing me, I’m 100% Obidient. Peter Obi is live in my residence today,” Fayose said.

His latest statement appears to be a response to those who questioned his commitment to Obi after videos of his meeting with Seyi Tinubu went viral earlier in the week.

The condolence visit has since attracted reactions online, with supporters of both men sharing clips and photos from the meeting across social media platforms.

Obi’s visit was primarily to sympathise with Fayose and his family over the loss of his wife, while the exchange between the two also served to address the political controversy surrounding Fayose’s recent public engagements.
