It was a memorable moment for the Olanipekun family at the ongoing 2026 Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), themed “Mountain Movers,” as mother and daughter celebrated two significant milestones within the space of two days.
Her Mother, Mrs. Esther Olanipekun who is also an Assistant Pastor, graduated from the The Redeemed Christian Theological College on Monday, August 3, 2026, during the college’s graduation ceremony held as part of activities for the annual convention.
Less than 24 hours later, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, her daughter, Assistant Pastor Oluwatumilara Fesowola Peniel Olanipekun, was ordained as an Assistant Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God during a special ordination service at the convention.
The back-to-back achievements have drawn congratulations from family members, friends and well-wishers, who described the occasion as a remarkable testimony of faith, dedication and commitment to Christian service.
Assistant Pastor Olanipekun combines academic achievement with professional and ministerial experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administration from Esae University, Benin Republic, and a postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management from Lead City University, Ibadan.
She also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology from the Redeemed Christian Bible College. In addition, she is undergoing professional certification with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
Beyond ministry, Tumilara serves as a consultant with YafetCosmos Recruit Firm, where she is involved in human resource and recruitment services.
Her ordination marks another milestone in her journey of Christian leadership, adding to years of service within the church.
For the family, the coincidence of a mother’s graduation and her daughter’s ordination during the same convention has made this year’s RCCG gathering particularly memorable.
The RCCG Annual Convention, which attracts thousands of worshippers from Nigeria and around the world each year, continues with various spiritual programmes, teachings and ministerial activities under the theme “Mountain Movers.”
