DJ Chicken Shares Prison Experience After Release From Kirikiri (Video)

Controversial disc jockey and social media personality, DJ Chicken, has reacted publicly for the first time since regaining his freedom after his arrest over alleged threats against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.

The entertainer, who recently regained his freedom after spending time at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, expressed gratitude to God and everyone he believes contributed to his release.

In a video circulating on social media, DJ Chicken thanked the Nigerian government, President Bola Tinubu and Seyi Tinubu, while reflecting on his experience in prison.

According to him, his stay in custody made him appreciate the value of freedom and the simple things many people often overlook.

“I’m back o, freedom at last. God bless our government, God bless the Nigerian government, God bless Seyi Tinubu, God bless our president. I love you guys,” he said.

He described life behind bars as a difficult experience, revealing that he often broke down in tears whenever meals were served.

“It’s not easy, my fans. To be a man is not a day’s job. When they brought food for me in prison, I used to cry to God. Bread and beans is even better. They will offer you bread with Coke, things that I don’t eat. People that are free don’t know what God has done for them. Freedom is good,” he added.

DJ Chicken also urged Nigerians to value their freedom, noting that only those who have experienced confinement truly understand its importance.

The TikTok personality was arrested after a viral video surfaced in which he allegedly threatened to kill Seyi Tinubu if President Bola Tinubu wins the 2027 presidential election.

He was later arraigned before a Magistrate’s Court in Lagos on charges bordering on alleged threat to life, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace and offences under the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act.

Although granted bail, he remained in custody until the bail conditions were met before eventually regaining his freedom.
