Ayodele Isaac Fayose

Why Now? Isaac Fayose Raises Eyebrows Over Brother’s Fresh Appointment (Video)

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has questioned President Bola Tinubu’s decision to appoint his elder brother as Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

In a video shared on social media, Isaac Fayose suggested that the appointment came shortly after the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, paid him a condolence visit.

President Tinubu had on Monday announced the appointment of Ayodele Fayose as Chairman of the REA.

Reacting to the development, Isaac Fayose wondered why the appointment was only made after Obi’s visit, despite his brother having been out of office for years.

“Just days after Mr Peter Obi visited me, they appointed my brother as a DG. Why didn’t they give him the appointment all these while?” he said.

He also questioned the nature of the appointment, noting that his brother was not offered a ministerial or ambassadorial position.

“They didn’t even make him a minister or ambassador. Even Reno Omokri, who was never a governor, was appointed an ambassador,” he added.

Isaac further recalled a conversation with his brother, in which the former governor allegedly said he had no intention of accepting another government appointment after leaving office.

“My brother once told me that after leaving Government House, he wouldn’t become a senator, minister or DG,” he said.

Despite his reservations, Isaac Fayose said the final decision rests with his brother.

“I know he may not accept the appointment, but if he does, who am I to question him,” he stated.
