A touching incident has set the social media buzzing after a woman who works as a cleaner was found sleeping inside one of the classrooms with her three children because she reportedly had nowhere else to stay.
The woman was discovered after the school management received reports that someone had been spending the night in one of the classrooms.
Curious to find out what was happening, some members of the management and a prankster visited the classroom around midnight, where they found the cleaner and her three children asleep on the floor.
In a video now circulating online, the visibly emotional woman explained that she had no place to live and had resorted to sleeping in the classroom to keep her children safe.
She also revealed that her husband abandoned her while she was pregnant with their third child, leaving her to shoulder the responsibility of caring for the children alone.
According to her, life has been difficult since then, and despite working as a cleaner at the school, she could not afford decent accommodation.
The incident drew the attention of the popular content creator, Omoga, who was among those that visited the classroom after the discovery.
Moved by the woman’s situation, Omoga presented her with ₦100,000 to support her and her children.
He also appealed to Nigerians and other well-meaning individuals to come to her aid, expressing hope that the viral video would attract more support for the struggling family.
