The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase begins on Tuesday, September 8, with Europe top clubs set to start their campaigns across three days of action.
The opening round features several attractive fixtures, including Real Madrid against Inter Milan and Porto versus Manchester City on Tuesday.
Club Brugge will also begin their campaign at home against Aston Villa, while Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Galatasaray are among the clubs scheduled to play on Wednesday.
Manchester United will complete the first round of fixtures on Thursday when they host Sabah.
Paris Saint-Germain enter the competition as the defending champions after their success last season. The French side will start their title defence against Slovan Bratislava as they target another deep run in Europe.
The competition also features five English clubs. Arsenal will be looking to go further this season after reaching the final last year and finishing as runners-up.
Unlike the previous group-stage format, the league phase will run across eight matchdays. The opening round will be followed by seven more matchdays before the league phase ends on January 27, 2027.
The Champions League will then move into its knockout stages, with the final scheduled to be played in Madrid on June 5, 2027.
