Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has alleged that he was defrauded in a $4 million property deal in Lagos, claiming the house he purchased does not belong to the seller.
The artiste made the revelation during an emotional Instagram Live session, where he broke down in tears while appealing for public assistance.
According to him, he only recently discovered that the property was allegedly stolen and that the individual who sold it to him has since disappeared.“Nigeria, I need your help. I’m not doing okay right now. I spent $4 million of my own hard-earned money, only to find out I bought stolen property,” he said.
He added that the situation has left him devastated, expressing fears of losing the huge sum invested in the transaction.“And now the seller has disappeared. Please, help me. Someone step in. I’ve got nothing left. I worked for years for this. I can’t lose $4 million like that,” he lamented.
The singer noted that he has contacted his lawyer to investigate the matter further.“I just contacted my lawyer for further investigation,” he said.
However, he did not disclose the identity of the seller or provide specific details about the property.
As of the time of filing this report, the allegations have not been independently verified, and there has been no official response from law enforcement authorities or any parties connected to the transaction.
