Nigerian influencer and life coach Solomon Buchi has said Nigeria is a “hell for talents”.
Solomon Buchi made this remarks after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently caught a medical doctor with laptops and coding materials and labelled him an internet fraudster.
According to reports, the EFCC found a medical doctor with laptops and coding materials and he was labelled an internet fraudster.
Reacting to this news, he said Nigeria’s system kills its citizens’ dreams and talents.
He drew a parallel, “If Mark Zuckerberg was Nigerian, EFCC would have raided his dorm where he started Facebook and accuse him of internet fraud because he had laptops and was caught coding. Nigeria is a hell for talents.”
Buchi’s statement highlights the broader issue of how structural and systemic barriers stifle innovation and creativity in Nigeria.
Many agree with him, pointing to several cases where budding entrepreneurs and innovators are either not recognized or misprofiled.
