United States Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, have welcomed a baby boy, adding a new member to their family.
The vice president announced the birth in a statement shared on his official social media account, expressing joy over the arrival of their son, who has been named Alec Neel Vance.
According to the statement, both mother and child are in good health, while the couple’s other children are excited to meet their new baby brother.
“We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning. Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother,” the statement read.
Vance also used the opportunity to appreciate the medical team that cared for his family during the delivery.
He thanked the military doctors and staff of Walter Reed Medical Center, as well as members of the White House Medical Unit, for their dedication and support.
“The incredible military doctors and staff members of Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit have been a blessing. We are deeply thankful for all they have done for our family,” he added.
The announcement has attracted congratulatory messages from supporters and well-wishers, with many celebrating the latest addition to the Vance family.
