A touching act of appreciation by a resident of Abia State has drawn praise online after she treated road construction workers to snacks in recognition of Governor Alex Otti’s ongoing infrastructure projects.
In a video circulating on social media, the woman, who is said to be associated with a local bakery, was seen preparing and packaging snacks before taking them to workers constructing a road in her neighbourhood.
On arriving at the site, she handed the snacks to the workers, explaining that the gesture was her family’s way of expressing gratitude to the state government.
“This is our small way of thanking our Governor, Alex Otti, for doing a great job for us,” she said.
The workers welcomed the surprise with smiles, as some paused briefly to enjoy the snacks while others continued working. A few also posed for the camera as the woman and her companions applauded them for their efforts.
